Parsi Date
Persian dates, right-to-left fixes and Persian characters for WordPress.
Parsi Date is a plugin made by Persian developers for a better Persian WordPress: the Shamsi (Jalali) calendar, character fixes and right-to-left fixes for the admin. I contributed to it through my fork on GitHub.
// what-it-does
What it does
The plugin is not mine. It is one I used on Persian sites and helped with.
These are the plugin's features, as my old portfolio listed them. My part was the contributions in the fork linked below.
Shamsi (Jalali) dates
- A Shamsi day picker in the block editor (Gutenberg)
- A Shamsi jQuery UI date picker
- Shamsi dates in posts, comments, pages, archives, search and categories
- Shamsi dates in permalinks
- Shamsi dates in the admin lists of posts, comments and pages
- Shamsi dates in quick edit for posts, comments and pages
- A Shamsi calendar widget and a Shamsi archive widget
Persian and right-to-left
- A right-to-left, fixed TinyMCE editor
- Persian features for WooCommerce
- Persian features for ACF
- Fast conversion of Arabic ي and ك to Persian ی and ک
- Fast conversion to Persian numbers
- Low resource use
// how-it-was-built
How it was built
PHP on WordPress, maintained by its own team.
Contributions go through a fork and a pull request, the normal way on GitHub.
My fork is archived. The plugin itself belongs to its own maintainers.
